Groundwater Modeling and Remedy Negotiations at a Former MGP Site
At a former manufactured gas plant that was being redeveloped; Gradient developed a health-protective; cost-effective remedial strategy. We developed a two-dimensional solute transport model (MODFLOW and MOC) to evaluate remedial alternatives for the site. Gradient demonstrated that contaminants would not reach a nearby lake and negotiated a more cost-effective remedy.
