Health Effects of Wood Treating Chemicals
In a toxic tort case; Gradient provided opinions on industry's and a specific company's knowledge of health effects of wood treating chemicals; especially their effects on workers; during the early 1900s to the present. We reviewed scientific literature; such as toxicity studies; as well as industry/company documents including meeting minutes; toxicity; epidemiology; and industrial hygiene studies to chronicle what was known and when. Our opinions addressed whether the company took proper steps to ensure worker health and safety according to prevailing knowledge.
