Environmental Forensics of Tar Sources

For a former tar distiller engaged in a cost allocation arbitration with a nearby former manufactured gas plant; Gradient evaluated the source of tarry deposits in river sediments at a Superfund site. We researched the plants' historical operations and discharges; tar contamination/transport patterns; and tar nature in the river to determine the relative sources of contamination. Gradient's ability to address both the historical manufacturing operations and environmental conditions allowed us to produce a comprehensive; integrated evaluation.
