In an insurance cost recovery case; Gradient provided scientific testimony regarding the toxicity of chemicals associated with manufactured gas plants (MGPs). Building upon our extensive experience with MGP site evaluations; we characterized the state of scientific knowledge during the MGP era regarding the human health or environmental effects of MGP chemical by-products as compared with today's understanding of risks of the same compounds.
