Gradient Research and Information Services

Gradient’s Information Resource Center (IRC) specialists are key partners in Gradient’s technical work. They provide project-specific research services using an extensive array of online search tools, internet sources, subscription products, document vendors, and information databases. Gradient’s proximity to the world class libraries of universities in Boston and Cambridge and to the Boston Public Library also allows us to leverage the deep resources of these institutions.

Under the IRC specialists’ expert oversight, Gradient has built a state-of-the-art corporate library of over 125,000 documents ranging from the most recent scientific literature to our extensive historical collection that encompasses information on a wide variety of topics from the evolution of waste disposal practices and industrial processes, to the changing state of knowledge of chemistry and toxicology, to Federal and State regulatory and legislative histories. Gradient's in-house library is extensively indexed and electronically searchable by all its staff, providing seamless access to this powerful information resource.

The IRC offers complete information management services including reference and research, document retrieval, database development and records management. We specialize in complex document-intensive projects, whether it be a multi-site cost allocation project or multiple-plaintiff litigation cases. Gradient's extensive experience ensures that critical project documents in all physical and digital formats are highly organized and searchable, and managed with appropriate confidentiality and security.

Gradient's scientists and clients can be confident that our expert analysis and innovative solutions are supported by extensive research and reliable, high-quality information.
