Company: History
Gradient was founded in 1985, in the early years of Superfund and risk assessment. Gradient’s scientists were early leaders in new scientific methods where none existed. Our firm is proud of the many contributions by Gradient’s scientists to risk and environmental sciences.
Gradient scientists helped shape risk and exposure assessment, and developed an early understanding of such complex problems as NAPL and the bioaccumulation of persistent compounds, such as dioxin and PCBs.
As environmental issues have evolved, so too has Gradient. Today our risk scientists focus on product safety as well as environmental issues. Gradient’s core scientific strengths – risk assessment, fate/transport, and chemistry – remain ideally suited for the changing environmental landscape facing society and industry today.
